I have been eyeing this one for a while now. Just waiting on my CH 5hp 2-stage 80gal unit to die. I've had the CH for ~25yrs. Painted too many cars to count and run shop tools all those years. Still running strong with no issues. But when it does this units is going in the shop. I really like the difference in noise level compared to the CH.

They also have a 5hp 2-stage unit.

With an output of 31cfm@100psi, that EMAX is an absolute beast! I can see the need for it in a multi-person shop environment, but that's a lot of compressor for the average user. Mine puts out 15.8cfm@90psi, and that's just enough to keep up with my blast cabinet. With the trigger held open and the compressor running non-stop, the tank pressure sits at around 105psi, which is enough for blasting. If I were building my garage setup from scratch again, I'd try to come up with the money for the scroll compressor that Eastwood sells. Decent output, doesn't take up much space, and running at 63dBs it's probably one of the quietest compressors available.
