Any ideas as to why the truck when running 40 or over it seems to want to pull to the right when brakes are applied...quicker more forceful brake pedal action to more of a pull

Really good chance its a seized caliper or the pins are crusty. My truck is have this same issue. The PO put a new passenger side caliper on it but not a drivers.....and I have a feeling he didn't bleed the brakes either.
I would start by removing both front wheels and inspecting both calipers. Comparing the two can often times give you a good idea of what's going on.

What I wouldn't give for a pair of Jack stands , nice Jack, and some ramps, that's what I need to do is pull the wheel and look to see what is going on behind those wheel s

Mine is doing this too. Im thinking either steering box or rear brakes. My fronts are new and don't drag

You have a problem with the brakes not applying evenly, you could have kink in a brake line or a broken hose, it possibly could be the proportioning valve too not working correctly, and loose steering will only make it seem somewhat worse. But pulling one way or the other during heavy braking is most likely a brake problem

just had this issue!

i replaced hoses/calipers/pads

i am just learning so i will write exactly what the explanation from mech shop had on invoice:

front rotors checked out fine. fluid to rear axle seals leaking. removed axle and changed spider gears and true axle seals. changed both brake drums.

my truck brakes better than my 07 chevy now!

I discovered a leaking brake fitting was causing mine to pull. It was a new line, replaced a couple of months earlier. Cold weather set in and shrinkage occurs, I suppose. A wrench resolved the issue.
