So got kind of an odd one, had some problems with the original gearbox so got a reman one got it installed and now when I turn to lock to the right and back to center the wheel is fine then lock to the left then back to center the wheel is off a quarter turn, lock to the right then center and fine again. Is there something in the steering gear that could cause that. No play it's nice and tight. Any ideas? Thanks

So I have inspected and replaced some parts a few months before I started having problems with the other box. This was not happening before the change. And even if there were worn parts they would have to be pretty bad and it would not be that consistent would it? That is why I was asking about the box.

Put the front axle on jackstands so that there is no weight on the tires and do the same test. This will take everything in the suspension out of the equation.
