My fishing toy. ..
My "when I get around to it" project. Building a scale RC version of my K10.
Need to pick up a transmission and shocks sometime in the near future.
Yeah baby. Another boater.
115 HP!! That thing must fuggin rip!!!! Is that boat rated for it?
Thanks. Frame is steel square tubing that was heated and bent to the desired shape. Then, I cut the tube in half to create two matched frame rails. The cross members are the same thing and the transmission support is the same material. I used a bottle of Mapp gas and some pre-flux brazing solder to connect the frame. I had to get the metal glowing for the solder to flow, but once it did, it was good and strong. I got the body and the leaf springs at my local hobby store and will fill in the opening in the hood and the sunroof. The spring shackles are parts of a bike chain link that bolt to the chassis with a bushing thru the center. The axles are made for RC rock crawlers and are fully locked. I am making some drive shafts that will use 4 pin universal joints. The wheels and tires are virtually a match to my truck and the tread on the tires are identical to the BFG All-Terrain T/A KO on my truck. That's awesome, where you get the parts? Is that frame hand made? Soldered or welded?
