Black and Chrome have always worked well together, High Sierra “upgraded” to Sierra Classic level.

Technically, didn't that trim level come with the fancier clear plastic horn button steering wheel? I prefer your steering wheel more (that's what I went with), because they don't crack like the fancy one tends to.

Yes you’re right, I do have the Sierra Classic type steering wheel but I prefer this style. I think it fits the truck, especially being a 4x4

Just a bit more basic than those posted above!

My ‘79 Scottsdale. Looking to restore it and thinking about changing up the color some, wanting to get more black in it.

I'd bang a date in that truck. Looks cleaner and nicer than some of those NoTell Motels.

A whole lot of shades of brown.

IT still looks good though. You can get by with different shades in brown. I'd say not so much in other colors though.

Just got my dream truck: a square body Suburban. Pics as I got it, 'before' shots if you will.
Plans are to get matching grey bucket seats w/ center console, plus overhead console. Maybe same steering wheel but leather wrapped.
Just a few little OEM+ things, nothing 'custom' or wild.
The bench looks great, but offers very little support.
Looks like the headliner was redone, but unfortunately in a baby blue. I may redo it in the proper grey, or even dye the whole thing black.

PS: missing the grey carpet spare tire cover, and driver's door lower carpet. Would love to buy one if anyone has one for sale. Thx!

Oh man is that in nice condition! It's interesting to see one without the front console in the ceiling, and the rear air conditioner! Very cool! I wanted a bench for mine for when our daughter was young, but didn't go that route. Found a jump seat style center console and had a 4 point seat belt made for it.

It is some sort of aftermarket console from back in the day. The guy I purchased it from (locally on CL) had purchased it new, to go with his '90/'91 Suburban, and then never installed it. So it came as you see it, with that "sort of matching" fabric. I had to come up with a way to mount it to the floor and be at the correct height and angle, and then had planet seat belts make the harness for it. Not long after install, I took the bottom cushion out, rebuilt it with softer foam, and sculpted it a bit more. It was just too firm in it's original configuration.
