Just Retrofited/Restored an overhead console from a 90's burb into my 84 Crew Cab dually. The old AC spot will be housing my turbo gauges; currently waiting on some SMD LEDs for the gauges. The maps/reading lights are sweet for it

Thank you. As I look at the pictures now, it really doesn't look much different except the cluster. Those before pics were like the second day of the project. That dash that's in it now is cracked and doesn't look real good but the original dash would disintegrate if you looked at it.

This is a better representation of what it's looked like for the past 5 years, and why I'm so excited I guess.

This is my grandpa brown interior. It definitely wouldn’t be my first choice in color scheme, but it fits the truck.

I mostly cleaned up the old stuff I pulled out. Still need carpet for the back wall and kick panels to match the lower door cards. Only thing I replaced were the leather buckets that were in it with a craigslist bench that came with this cover and new seatbelts from seatbeltsplus. I washed the seat cover in the washing machine and cleaned the old carpet and door cards by hand. Replaced all the weatherstripping with stuff from Classic Parts of America.

It doesn't matter what it looks like to anybody else but you. My old Chevy truck is my old friend and does not matter what anyone else thinks. Nothing like a slow cruise in my old truck to get my mind right.

The bottom pic was selected to be on a calendar of old pickups

I bought my house for the lot ,
1/2 acre of 100 year old hardwood trees 2 miles from the perimeter interstate around Atlanta

It could have had a tent on it and I would have bought it

My son wanted to go to Pocono when he was living in NJ
But didn’t get the chance

We have a friend that gets us in the garage and pits at the Atlanta race
