Well my first car.. slash fix up! was a Volkswagen BAJA 1966 model then graduated up to a 1974 GTO . These are Polaroid pics girls and boys , not digital !
Then moved onto trucks, bikes and a Toyota , wich I don’t drive one now! then a 55 Chevy . 2500 was the price on that 55 … My friends 1974 GTO in black primer we wrecked in one rainy night, just one day shy of easter , I was on the passenger side . The lord was looking out for me that night . Thank you lord! The last picture I just throw in for a 1988 camaro I just did some work on . A friends at work, get this less than 15,000 original miles yep that’s rite !

Here are a couple that have come and gone. 1970 Torino Cobra 429CJ. This had the 360 hp 429 with a C6 automatic. It was a nicely optioned car with the shaker, AC, bucket seats and rear window louvers. I owned this for about 13 years. I bought it in FL and it moved to NY with me. Not a great restoration but a fun driver. The 68 Chrysler 300 convertible I had for while but ended up selling it before I completed. The guy I sold it to was in Sweden and he took care of all the shipping.

My first vehicle was a 1965 Ford Econoline van, 3 on the tree, straight 6 170 engine between the seats in primer black (pick of the red one was not mine, but an image to show what it looked like) My first car, was a 1972 Olds Cutlass Supreme that I bought off my High School history teacher for $100.00 Auto 350 and blew the transmission 3 months later. Sold it for $50.00 the weekend before I went to Marine Corps boot camp. First rebuild was my 1986 Toyota 4X4 2 years ago. Rebuild the 22R motor and completely re-did the interior. Sold it before I did the body or paint to buy the 88 Jimmy.

was lucky growing up, the vehicles i like (early '60's to early '70's) were still at give-away prices, and my dad was a serious gearhead. for the first 20 yrs of my driving life, i bought and sold cars like i change my underwear
don't have a pic of my first car, a '74 (gag) amc hornet. it was my mom's and one night i jacked the keys before i got my license, then proceeded to grenade the sixer in it. as part of my punishment, she made me buy it with the blown 6. my dad had a 390 out of an old '69 f100, so we shoehorned it in, and it. was. fast. but in a couple months the doors would drop like an inch when ya opened them, that 390 twisted the car right up.
here's me as a snot nosed 16 yr old wit my '69 nova with a 327, around '79-'80.

my dad was into ford trucks and mopar cars, so i ended up with a couple of each...but i don't talk about them much...and because most kids want to be different than their folks at that age, i started buying GM's.
my '71 chevelle, one of my camaro's and ya, like everybody back in the day, i had a V8 vega as well

one of my more fav cars was this '67 beaumont Sports Deluxe wit a 396, never should have got rid of it. was also one of the last cars i owned, been trucks only since the late'80's...the blaze i owned in the early '90's, as well as the sidewinder

funnest truck i owned was this '68 Custom cab with a 383 stroker. used to catch the "four barrel and header crowd" guy's off guard with it all the time. first square was this old sub. my dad and his buddy were drinking one night, and after awhile i talked him into selling it to me for a $100. it never went on the street, was strictly a bush wagon. the green and tan 3/4 ton was my first streetable square. that cordoba in front of it was my dad's and it was FAST. he took the 440 outta my mom's old newport, we did a little work on it and it cranked out an honest 450 hp. with 2 something highway gears in the axle, it would motor on the freeway. he actually got nailed doing 128 in a 60 zone with it
now that i'm waaaaay older, my trucks seem to have become long termer's. the '90 k1500 stepper i bought from the orig owner in '95, and i still daily drive it today, 26 yrs and still going. my crewcab i have had since '97, and my wifes XUV (behind my custom cab) we bought new in '04 and she still drives it.....lately she's been thinking she wants to sell it and get an AT4 Canyon

my old man only had a couple chevy's, but i think this acadian was the nicest car he ever had. bought it as a half done project, we finished it then he rarely drove it and sold it a yr later for a butt load of $.
the fairlane was his too. dropped it on a 78 or 79 f250 for the local mud bogs. the k5 and gladiator were mine, the datsun was my buddies, just helped him chop the top

haha!
naw, far from it, this was in '87, long before roadkill was even a thing, hell even before the interweb was a thing...lol.
and around where i live, you would never get a vehicle on the road with no windows-instant V.I. time...

buddies was a '76 620, not up to date on imports, but the roadkill datsun front end looks like an older model
buddy started with a buick v6 in his, then later swapped in a 283/glide combo.
this is the only pic i got of it, like i said, imports aren't my thing
