I never loved that body style either, but it's not NEARLY as bad as the newest ones. Not sure wtf GM was thinking with these new ones but they are vomit inspiring. Makes you look back at these '16s and think it's not so bad lol
To each his own, that’s why they change the style and come in colors. The model years that trigger my gag reflex is the 03-06 cat eyed Chevys. I had to buy a new truck in 05 and bought a GMC because of it.
The newest models suck because GM refuses to build short bed reg cabs and deliver in US.

I guess I should clarify my sarcasm. I like it! They look good with paint matched bumpers and grills.

I have her fat white sister.

Very Nice. I’m sure yours is more practical. When GM finally starts building these SB’s again for the US they’ll be in the $40’s.

Nothing better looking than a black short bed Chevy truck. I get complements on my 96 all the time.

I'm surprised at the amount of good comments I've got when driving around my '90 SS, and it has crappy textured black paint.

Textured paint, like bed liner?

It looks like the C notch is missing the bottom bolts, nice truck the way it should have come from the factory in the first place.

It's thinner and smoother than bed liner. It's glossy, but the gloss is hidden by the texture. I don't know what the hell it is.

I ran into an old timer at the butcher's a while back and we were talking trucks. He had a similar truck but was complaining that that he couldnt get a single cab short bed with a V8 so he got the 4.3. I forget what year it was but it had the same front end.

Theres definitely something to be said about a single cab short bed v8 trucks, RWD or 4WD. Very nice find, I hope it brings you a lot good times.

Yeah, I saw that right off. The kit has a bolt and reinforcement backing plate for every bolt. Surprising since the rest of the job was good. I’ll be finishing it up.

Im sure GM will start building single cab short beds again, but they will undoubtedly be priced opportunistically. I was going to buy a newer SB w/6cyl if I had to. But this one was a no brainer.

It will be a future collector truck store it away for 30 years and then take it to Barrett Jackson, OR just drive and enjoy it knowing not every street has a bunch of them. Enjoy.
