What wheels would have come with a factory 86 K10 Stepside? It seems like 15" Rallys, but would they have been 15x7 or 15x8? Looking to put some 31x10.5s on them so I assume 15x7 would be fine, but is that how it would have rolled out of the factory?

I believe there were 3 different width's for the rallies. I also think the 8" were the widest offered. Aftermarket made more.

Help. @bucket @HotWheelsBurban

Unless keeping stock, you might think about puting Monroe load adjusting shocks (coil over) front and rear and then 32" tires on it. I've got Mastercraft on mine and they filled they wheel well more to my liking but not too much. The shocks actually took what little rake it had out and it's level. $125 per axle on amazon or ~$125 from advanceauto. Rides awesome to me (never tried Bilsteins so no comparison here).

Currently on a quest to find out if 33's will fit now with the little lift (1-1.5") I got from the shocks.

Here's what I'm working with... it currently has 33" M/T mudders (305/70R16) on it and I'm trying to get closer to the stock look and stance. But, I have it at a shop now for a bunch of mechanical work and they told me the truck doesn't have a lift. I didn't ask about shocks and if those were replaced with something else. Does it look like it's sitting higher than stock, or is it just the tires?

I would find a new shop cuz that definitely has a lift, they don't know what they're talking about. I'm gonna guess a 4" lift
This. They’re not super knowledgeable if they can’t tell it has a lift. And, I believe the 4x4 rally wheels would be 15x8.

Any idea the stock dimensions of this truck? I'm surprised they couldn't find evidence of a lift...what should I look for next time I see the truck to point it out (other than the fact it looks higher than it should be)?

Its probably lifted properly- arched springs and not lift blocks, so it looks factory.
I’m not with the truck until next week, but I have a few (poor) pictures that kind of show the leaf springs. Anything you can tell from these?

Front springs are definitely aftermarket, too many leafs and stock springs are nearly flat when the vehicle weight is on them.

I can’t really tell much about the rear from the picture

It's either a 2.5" or 4" lift, based on the front springs. I could pin it down with better pictures. I'm currently leaning more towards 2.5".

Stock rally wheels would have been 15x8. There was a 15x7 offered in some years, but incredibly rare. If it had basic steel wheels, they would have been 15x6. There was a 15x8 basic steely too, but I think by the 80's, they were only used on the military K5's.

I’ll get some better pictures Monday. Will it look odd if I swap to 15” and 31” tires? Or keep 33” in a regular tire (not mudding)? I’m not enjoying the current tires for casual driving.

Would look a little goofy with 31's.
