Not around here. Hang out, you'll get more help than you can handle. You'll just have to tolerate some of our craziness. Not all threads are stricktly helpful and on topic, but we try. And if you enter the Lounge area, there's no telling what you might see or read. I forget which thread it is where Retro is talking about his satin thong that he wears, and WildcatJason wears panties. :happy175:
I can Definately handle all the craziness!!! Especially if I keep learning as much as I am.

Hey guys, possibly found a FF 14 bolt rear end for 200 bucks. Only problem is that the guy doesn't know if it came out of one of his 2wd 3/4 ton trucks or 4wd 3/4 ton. He knows it's out of an 80's model square body truck. Is the perch distance the same in the 2wd and 4wd models, or are the different?

That's not a problem. If it came out of a 3/4 ton truck, 73-87 or 3/4 ton Burb up to 91 it'll bolt in. The thing that needs to concern you, is what gear ratio it is, and does your current front axle have the same gear ratio, or are you willing to convert it to the same gear ratio. Chances are, it's a 4.10 or 3.73 ratio.

Hey guys, instead of posting a new thread I figured Id just post on this one. I just got back from buying a th350, th400, intakes, and a block. Anyways I was wondering what transmission would be the best to put into my truck when I start lifting it and putting in the 383. I have 2 of the 350s, 1 400, and then the 700r4 that's on the truck right now. I only paid 150 for Everything I just bought, so I figured I could sell one of the 350s and make my money back on everything.

TH400 is the ultimate in strength but you may run into added cost getting it installed. It requires a TH400-specific input shaft on the transfer case. So you may want to start with the TH350s, tear em apart, learn your way around, and build em back up with heavier duty parts and it should be able to handle whatever you throw at it!

By D10, you mean it's a CUCV Blazer? All CUCV's came with Turbo 400's and NP208 transfer case, with exception of a few CUCV's that had PTO's, then they got the NP205.

And yes, that's a Th400.
