So my oldest kid is 17 and has now bought his first rig. His criteria was it had to be a stick shift and needed to be a square, S10 pickup or S10 blazer and his very top dollar was only $3k.

Long story short, we stumbled across this gem! Drove down to Springfield and drove her back to KC on Friday. She’s a 5 speed with a 4.3, 157k miles and is SUPER clean. Does need a little rust repair but nothing major and the rust will be repaired this spring. It’ll be a good opportunity for me to teach the kid how to do body work :)

And get this…..he only gave $1,500 for it  I told him that if he didn’t buy it I was going to! Lol

On to a few pics. He’s taken off the running boards and has a bunch of other ideas rolling around his head :)

With a 5 speed, he got the good venerable TBI 4.3 rather than the CPI 4.3 that you can no longer get a new spider injector.

Checked the numbers, I was curious. 36,663 1992 4x4 2 door S trucks made. 3,114 had the 5 speed. Correct me if I am wrong, but that looks like 47U Royal Blue and 26L Sky Blue? Of the 3,114 5 speeds, only 2 (TWO) were painted in that combo. That one was the only one of the two made to have that interior. Only 31 total made in that color combo, pretty rare.

Yep, just an inspection hole.

I vote for coilovers up front and slam it! Lol.

He does want to lower it a scootch but I don’t think he has the scratch for coilovers at this point lol

He can do like I did and simply screw with the torsion keys, but that's a lot of trial and error and mine ended up settling too low. It's literally riding on the bump stops and I don't want to fool with it anymore. Coilovers will be much easier.

Just backing out the adjuster bolts and running 2" blocks out back may work well and be super cheap.

Oh yeah! I forgot about the torsion bar set ups on these. That will be pretty easy! He definitely doesn't need to be slammed. He just wants it lower and more sporty looking.
