new (to me) truck's service engine soon light came on
code indicated it was likely the O2 sensor
bought a new Bosch and put it in
light stayed
called mechanic buddy and he asked what brand sensor I put in
told him Bosch and he said before I try other fixes I should replace the Bosch sensor with NTK (or pretty much any other brand) as Bosch failure rates are very high
done and fixed; hope this saves others the wasted time/$

While at the same time, on the Edelbrock forum everyone cautions about using anything but Bosch because of high failure rates. At least with aftermarket EFI, they are easy to test with a butane lighter. The bigger issue is buying off amazon thinking you're getting a Bosch just because it says it's a Bosch.
