Idk Haha I snagged the sensor from a 241c. So I'm good there. I just need to adapt a 40 tooth reluctor ring to my 208

it will be behind the bearing that you had to remove the snap ring from.

No I couldn't get to it. I gave up. Was there for 3 hours pulling a wiring harness. Was ready to go home.

If you get the ring from the 241 its supposed to work on the 208.

I have seen somewhere on the net that they have aftermarket convertors. they convert the older mechanical ones to electronic for use in the newer trucks. a buddy of mine did this when he put a 205 in a 91 blazer. worked for him. highdesertranger

Did this ever get figured out? Can i just swap my mech speedo drive from my 208 to a 241c from a 90 burb? That would be awesome!

Idk. I ended up using a 241 with my setup and switching everything to electric

In 89 the 241 came with a mechanical speedo set up. I have been looking for a used one for over a year with no luck. It is a one year only thing. I'm sure the s15s and little blazers would have it as well. I can buy the parts brand new if I so desire but it would cost about $300 which is more then I would have to pay for a complete used unit so I'm still looking until spring by then I will have to bite the bullet if I don't find one.

How difficult was that? Im getting a 241c from a 90 burb. I don't want to necessarily go that route, but may if it is easier
