I wouldn't mind having a pair of 30 emblems for my K10 lol make people scratch their head till they look under it.

So should i start grabbing emblems at the junkyard? I see 10s, 20s, 30s, 15s, 25s, 35s...

If they weren't such a bitch to get off, I would anyway.

If you find them with pins and no peeling/pitting it will probably be worth your time. When I bought Silverado 30 emblems for my '79, I happily paid 50 bucks shipped for them, and they even had the pins broke off. I've seen other people pay similar amounts too.

I'd say so too. If they're in real good shape, I'd say it would be worth your time. I've got a set of Scottsdale 20's around here somewhere but wo pins and speed nuts. They'd have to be installed with double stick tape.

The shortbed kinda gives yours away as a K10, unless someone was to get under it thinking they'd see how you shortened the frame.

I'm from Indiana to and have lots of hard to find parts, but don't recall seeing any 20 emblems in my stash. I'll look again, but it's something I usually don't save. I thought the 85's were glued on to start with?

Yea, let me know if you come up with any...the emblems originally had two studs on the back with pal nuts to hold them on, but as they age the plastic gets brittle and the first time you touch the nuts with a socket.....no more studs. unless of course they are the wrong emblems to match your truck, then they come right off without breaking the studs!

hey bucket, good to know about the 3m tape. I very well may have to do that....does the tape come loose after a few years or does it seem to stay good and tight?

As long as the back of the emblem is clean (wipe with alcohol) and relatively smooth and you use quality tape (3M), it will be on there for the long haul. Trim the tape nicely too, you want it just inside of the emblem's edge, not flush with the edge.

Who ever owned my truck last, ripped everything off - added a bunch of bumper stickers, started painting with spray paint. It looked good then they got sloppy and went over it with cheap spray on bed liner, I found all the emblems inside behind the seat, broken. Only thing left was the hood emblem and the inside Scottsdale on the dash .

I'd have to dig them up, but I do believe I still have a set of Scottsdale 20 emblems. The speed nut pegs are broke off though so they'd need to be installed with double sided tape.
