You can go ahead in install emblems with 3m tape, it won't hurt your new paint at all as long as it's fully cured. Just don't use emblem adhesive, that crap does ruin paint.

I'm from Indiana to and have lots of hard to find parts, but don't recall seeing any 20 emblems in my stash. I'll look again, but it's something I usually don't save. I thought the 85's were glued on to start with?

Most forums have a post limit befor you could even start your own topic.

If you want a forum that is hard to start on, exspecially when your easy to troll, go on Pirate4x4. They will make you run away screaming.

And tow is right, werent they taped on by then????

Pretty sure my 86 is taped.

I've got this set of emblems off my 85' and they still have the pins. Make me an offer and they're yours. If say overall condition is good.

I bet those being 30's make them even harder to find.

So should i start grabbing emblems at the junkyard? I see 10s, 20s, 30s, 15s, 25s, 35s...

If they weren't such a bitch to get off, I would anyway.

If you find them with pins and no peeling/pitting it will probably be worth your time. When I bought Silverado 30 emblems for my '79, I happily paid 50 bucks shipped for them, and they even had the pins broke off. I've seen other people pay similar amounts too.

Electric drill with a hole saw on it...... I wonder if that would work. Not technically hacking anything up, just doing modifications that should have been designed in the fender in the first place.
