Skysurfer also has a 4x4 Burb that pretty damn nice and clean. He hasn't been here in awhile either.

I sent sky a message, hopefully, he'll post up in this thread.

i like it refer to my "burban .. Just a beast..question did you make those side steps i have looked everywhere for that style.

Also bumper is a real hunk of metal...

The steps were off of my 08 Sierra I sold. We made some custom mounts for them. Yeah the bumper is a lot of metal.

I started a build thread here: http://www.gmsquarebody.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1987

Still looking for the step pics. Had them all on my old laptop then got a new one. Now all my pics are mixed up. :disgust:

Don't feel dumb, I don't get sick of looking at pics of that one. I like the way gray and white go together, the lift and the wheels.

Back from the dead.

My white burb is my daily driver. Gets 11mpg coming or going. You would think with the 465 muncie it would be a little better. Glad I only drive 7 miles to work.

I have purchased another Burb It is a 1987 3/4ton Diesel. It needs a new engine and a TH400 rebuild. Maybe I have it finished this spring.

Sounds like it would be a good one for a Cummins swap and a NV4500

NICE Project !!! Are going back with another 6.2 or doing a gas conversion?YOu building the trans yourself? IIRC, you're not to far from me huh? I'll assume this one has an NP208 Tcase? OR did it get the NP205?

You oughta start an "under construction" thread on this one !!! :waytogo:

the 208 replaced the 205 in MOST models in 81 so by 88 it most likely had the np208, assuming it wasnt swapped.

im actually going in the morning to pick up a np208 from a guy kinda local to me...mines on the way out quickly
at any rate onto my suburban.

nevermind my cousin standing over there pissing...we live on a farm..

1982 k10 with 6.2 that wishes it was a duramax
4" RC...and they live upto their name with the 'rough'..
15x10 Ion's
35x12.50 bfg at..

interior is 99.9% oem..even down to the lack of a radio.

I have the original window sticker for the truck and it was ordered with NO radio...it has the silverado equip package..but manual windows and no radio...

its a weirdly ordered truck..

Damn, Nice Burb. And its a 4x4 6.2??? Drive it right, don't abuse it or neglect it and you should get some good mpg out of it and have it last a good long time.

thanks

yes its a 6.2 and 4x4

believe it or not it gets around 18 or so with the lift & tires..

but with only 112k correct miles on it...it really isnt hurt...

right now im having some issues with the transfer case...im actually going in the morning to pick up another np208 i found on nc4x4.com

i think the current tcase is just shot...it hops out of 2wd while driving and gets hung up in neutral...will go into 4lo but not 4hi and stays in lo once it gets there...itll make a nice spare once i get the newer of the 2 installed
