No power at all, zero lights, guage lights, or anything else. Any help wld be great.

I have a 1097 Chevrolet R10 Silverado with a 350 5.7 SBC and the starter went out, so I went to replace it with a Powermaster mini starter. Once I got it back together I tried starting the truck, but got no power at all.

I read through a lot of posts and didn't see one like this. My multimeter reads 12v at the battery, starter and alternator so I have no clue what to do. Oh, ignition switch is new too. At the end of my skill set and dreading having to take to a shop.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

I'd double check to make sure you connected the wires to the starter properly

On the OEM starter there is a large lug where the positive battery cable is connected.
- On that same lug there is also a red wire (at least 10 gauge ) with a fusible link. This wire runs up behind the engine, through a protective metal tube, and then over to the power junction next to the master cylinder. This is the main power feed to the fuse panel.
- there is a second wire with fusible link (10 gauge? ) on the starter lug and this wire runs up behind the engine, along the top of the valve cover, and connects to the alternator BAT terminal. This is your charge wire.
I think you forgot to connect one of the smaller wires, or somehow created a short and it burned the fusible link.
