So, at my Boss's house there is this 78 GMC Jimmy High Seirra. Used to be his daily, but then got a new truck, and now it sits collecting dust. He said it ran and drove a little over a year ago, still runs good. I'm thinking of buying it.
350, with a edelbrock performer intake and edelbrock AVS2, glasspacks, th350 automatic, power windows, power lock, factory AC, cruise control, tilt wheel, and awesome 70s orange plaid seats. It's pretty loaded.
Only big thing I can see wrong, is that it has the "Fred Flintstone" edition floor boards, and some rust around the wheel arches and on the tailgate. But it comes with full replacement floors, that he bought, but never pit in.
He said hed be glad to sell it to me.
I need to sell a truck or 2 before I can think about taking another home, but I'm really drooling over this one.
I wouldn't even touch the exterior, leave the rust and the faded red, I like it. Just fix the floors.
Good buy, yay or nay? Opinions.
Whatcha think?

I don't know if I have ever seen a rear deflector on a K5 before - definitely different in my view.

Neat, though !

Yeah, me neither. It's a little odd looking, not my cup o tea, but definitely unique.

Same guy I bought my 86 GMC from...and my 75 blazer... and my Suburban...and my tractor... and an engine. Hahaha. The guy has lots of vehicles. And he takes great care of his stuff, so you feel good about buying from him.
Last time I counted them, he has 61 cars and trucks.
The 86 came out of the same car port about 2 bays over.

I don't think I've ever seen an original K5 without one. It keeps the exhaust from being sucked in if the rear glass is down while cruising.

Haha. I have a couple trucks I'm looking to finish up and sell before I bring another one home. Got 17 cars and 3 trailers. Yard is a bit full. Have about 5 that are on the get of list.
Cant help but drool a bit over some new squarebody meat, especially one that nice.
