I too am not a fan of the fancy new looking tires on simple squarebody trucks. They help in mud and do look pretty aggressive, but IMO the style looks very out of place on our trucks. When shopping for tires I specifically looked for tires that were fairly plain looking, wanted to keep the truck looking classic.

These were the 31s I had for a while before I had room for bigger tires, and the same as my current 33s. Tread pattern and performance are almost identical to the older BFG A/Ts, they perform really well and last a long time yet are still fairly inexpensive. They now also sell them with a full RWL like BFGs do instead of just the white outlines pictured here (which I would have rather had but they didn't offer them at the time)
I’ve had the Generals, and the BFG at. Old design. Not sure why but I got 30k out of the General, and 65k out of the BFG. I really wish they had kept the old BFG design, I liked them a lot better. I’ve always like the whole white lettering on them too, vs the outlined letters.

I run 33x10.5r15 BFG KO2 on the OEM aluminum 15x7 wheels of my '90 suburban with a 3in lift. I think it looks pretty classic compared to most other tires out there. Also, they are one of the few tires in that size I can run on the OEM wheels.

Yeah I like the 350 but wanted more power. The truck had no engine when I bought it. The horsepower to fuel economy to cost just cant be beat with the LS. I want to daily this thing. Everything else though looks wise will be stock exterior/interior.

No engine, so a blank slate, may as well then.

Gotcha. Wasn’t sure. I’ll step out now :)

Didn't mean to come off that way, sorry....

IMO, without going to a dedicated "vintage" tire, BFGs seem to complete the "look" the best, to me.
But it's hard to shell out 2x the money, compared to a comparable tire, especially if it's on a rig tht will age out before wearing out.

Wonder how Red Letter General Grabbers would "look" with rallys or steelies n hubcaps?

I’m not offended my friend!

I’ll be buying Generals for my k10 and will be on my 10 wide steels with caps.

Ive had people try to get refunds on their cooper AT3 because they changed the tread deisgn SLIGHTLY on the outer part, visible to outside view, so that it wasnt the same all the way around and rather had shorter blocks every other one as to promote grab-release in poor weather instead of hydroplaning and other extreme traction loss scenarios.
so, it was functionally improved, barely noticeable and potentially better looking depeneding on person, and they wanted to have them refunded and returned because outrage
