I’ve been a car guy my whole life and grew up with Chevys. I’ve owned many different brands and restored a few different cars, trucks and motorcycles along the way. Currently my DD is a 14 Jeep Wrangler built for off-roading. I also have a owned many Harleys and my current bike is a ‘15 Street Glide Special that like everything else, is far from stock.
I plan to stop driving the Jeep as my daily and I’m starting to look for my next ride. I was thinking about a 17 or 18 Camaro SS but now might take on a square body making it a restomod and a daily driver. I’d like to find a solid truck, strip it down to the frame, and send a ton of parts out for powder coating. Then work on the drivetrain, just a simple 350 w/TB EFI and a TH700 auto. The cab and bed will depend on the condition. The interior will have to be redone and perfect with A/C. I’m pretty sure I can get all of that done in about 8-9 months.
I’ve only owned 1 SB and it was a 87 K5. I didn’t realize what I had when I owned it. Couldn’t afford the gas back in the day and sold it after 2 years. My company trucks were a 75 1 ton dually and an 86 3/4 ton.
Here is a project I finished about 4 years ago. 65 F250. Bought it from my buddy who got it from the original owner. Never was a Ford guy but grew to love the “Slicks”. Sold it after driving it for a year. Someone asked me if it was for sale and I said, everything is for sale for the right number. Well...
