Hi all, just picked up a 1987 350 TBI and having some stalling issues after about 30 minutes of driving and some slight idle fluctation at time as well. I have already replaced the ignition moduel with an ACdelco one and have a new MAP sensor headed my way now. I have 2 young kids so time is tough to work on it but also looking to see if anyone knows a good mechanic around this area that might be able to assist me when needed/possibly look at doing a motor swap. Welcome from VA. I also have a 1987 350 TBI. I have done several things to this truck but have not replaced the ignition sensor or the map sensor. I am intrigued because I had an issue once when my truck sounded and felt like it was going to shut off on me when I was at a stop, then I changed the spark plugs and it runs great again. It does have varying differences in idle once started but usually settles down. I know it can use a tune up. I am anxiously awaiting what I learn from your projects. Cheers.

I have a vac gauge on order now to start testing that out and then will look into spark plugs next. which brand did you go with? did you do wires as well- if so which ones? Thinking about a fuel pump next as well, put a gauge on it last week and it sat right around 10psi. Does anyone know what psi it should be reading?

I used AC Delco plugs and the Advance Auto knock off wires. Got them all at Advance.
