I had a 2004 Yukon with a sunroof that leaked similar to yours. I never could find it, new windshield, cleaned out all the sunroof drains, door seals were good. Traded it to a buddy and it ended up being exactly what you said. Seam sealer at the firewall had dried out and cracked out of whatever area it was in. They chiseled it out, applied more and fixed the leak. I think he said there was actually 2 spots of sealer they suspected, one in the engine bay and one under the dash. It was back in the corner under part of the fender, kind of on the side of the cowl.Yes I've spent several hours in the car, with multiple interior parts off to check several places while it was pouring rain. Under the dash, the windshield, door seals etc are all good. At the moment I expect it's some failed or badly applied seam sealer at the base of the windshield. The problem is that to get to it I think I'll need to pull the fender which involves also pulling the bumper an the side skirt. I dont want to get that deep in it but with the way the water flows off the windshield/roof it can only be a few places an they are all in that area. I sealed up some areas that I could get to the other day but it didn't help any....
