Hey thanks for the add and the sign up. I found this truck in Redding CA and drove it all way back to SoCal!! 1980 GMC C3500 Camper Special 3+3 BBC TH400. The Brown Trout

I need to fix the A/C possible recharge or convert to R134 and fix the exhaust leak on the headers. P.O. Said the headers don't need a gasket?? The headers look like normal GM headers to me.

That's a beautiful truck, and thanks for joining us! I'd go ahead and convert it to R134a. It really simplifies things, or at least it has in my experience. If it were me, I'd do the install on the accumulator and orifice tube plus the charging using borrowed manifold gauges from Autozone myself. I'd take it somewhere to evacuate first and pull vacuum on it when everything's buttoned up. The PO was wrong on the manifold gaskets. Fel-Pro MS90206 should be a readily available set that you can get anywhere.
