New 355 Build For My 1979 Big 10

After about 30,000 of street driving/racing miles I was able to sell my 327, I have decided to build a 355 in the hopes of running well into the 11s at the drag strip. My plan is to build a 355 with flat top pistons a solid lifter cam and I will use a set of 291 fuelie heads. I will post pictures as I go and follow it up with a drag test of the truck. These parts are the center piece of my build.

I always like to see fast pickup trucks.

Some more progress, heads machined for screw in studs and the valve guides installed, spring pockets cut. My son did some work to the crank before grinding the journals. Some preliminary flow testing was done.

Flow was 206 @ 28 inches @ .600 lift 4.155 bore.
