Yea all that's in order, and numbered now just in case somebody messes with it. What do y'all think about camel hump heads, my neighbor has a set he's trying to get rid of

18-20 years ago, camel hump heads were the heads to have. But not anymore. First of all they don't have accesory holes, so no power steering, or AC in most cases unless you go way back to old school bracketry and pulleys which will be tough to find. Now, the Vortec heads breath so much better right out of the box than a Camel Hump head does even if its been max ported. Camel Humps have no advantage whatsoever over Vortecs.

There were later double humps that did have the bolt holes though. If the price is good, you still can't go wrong for the money spent.

Yes, you are correct. I thnk the last year of double humps has acc holes. Very rare these days and they go for big money to people wanting to do OEM restores. I myself wouldn't spend over $200 for a set of humps ready to bolt on and go. Reason being, I've seen Vortecs for $200 and $150-$200 to have them reconditioned for much more performance. You're talking 40-50hp difference, that's signiticant, so NO, I wouldn't pay for humps what for a few bucks more I can get Vortecs. JMO.

So you did read it. Yes, I would stay on the track for the vortecs too. However, if the guy is selling those cheap enough, I'd grab them too. If they are just cores, I'd pay up to $100 for them if they are complete with valves, rockers and springs. Many years ago, those humps were the most sought after head other than the angle plug 2.02 Vette heads that were so rare, people settled for the humps.

will the cam you posted still work well with the vortec heads or do i need to go a different route?
