Hey folks, I have searched the wheel and tire threads and have seen many different combos. I have a 1987 V2500 GMC Camper Special thats a one owner truck. I did install a 2" lift but besides the springs and shocks Im keeping this truck All GM. I have purchased a set of 8" wide steel white powder coated wheel vintiques wheels (gonna keep the factory hub caps) but am torn on what size tire to get. Im not really wanting a ballon tire look. Im looking for a semi stock aggressive look. I would really appreciate some picts and perspective to help me pick the right tire. The first picture is the 87 Im needing help with. the second picture is my other ride and joy I built from the ground up. Figured I would share it with you because you are all GM people. Thanks for your help in advanced.

285/75/16. 2" lift on front due to header clearance with knuckle . 1" on back.

Really love the wagon wheels. They went perfect on my rescued 77. Found it dead in the weeds and brought it back to live again.

My pic won't help much, seeing as how you have some new wheels coming. 265's on stock wheels.

I am looking forward to seeing how your new setup will look. What you are doing is exactly what I want to do. I was hoping to go either 285's with no lift, or 305's with no or minor lift.

IIRC you have a 4" lift. Here's my K30 with a 3" lift. It would be about a 5" lift on a K20. Tires are 265/75R16's. I would go with 285's.

Second picture I ripped from the internet when I was researching my lift. My notes say its a K30 with a 2.5" lift with 305's/70R16's on 16x8" wheels. I know that's wider than you wanted, but the 305 is the same height as the 285's due to the difference in aspect ratio between the sizes.
