It all started with a leaking fuel line. Replaced that with a beautiful custom made piece. While it was taken apart we did cap, rotor, wires, plugs. Ran great. Started by drive home, but a bump on the freeway and it cut out. Coasted to the side of the road and towed home. Then changed coil, sending unit, fuel pump and filter and fuel relay. It cranks and wont start. I'm lost. Any help would be very very much appreciated. It's my daily and I don't want to let it go

Its sounds like definitely something electrical. Double check everything fuses grounds and whatever you touched while working on it.

Id start simple, check that your getting spark and fuel first. Sounds stupid but its usually something stupid. If you have no spark id look to the pickup in the distributor. I had one in a car take a crap on me while flyin down the highway in the passing lane at 90mph. Car just shut off, same situation coasting off the highway and would only crank. It was a cheap and easy fix once i found the issue.

Use the red wire coming off your pump relay harness your ignition must be off that wire is a test/prime wire to see if your pump works

Check how loose your connectors are that plug into the cap. Mine fell off and had to pull over. Fixed it with a crimp on blade connector.

Then a week later I had the same symptom but connector was tight. It is my daily driver so I paid $75 for a tow back to the house 3 miles away and it turned out to be something with the distributor.

If you decide you need a distributor, you might check out Skip White. Can't beat $50'ish for a distributor w/cap,rotor, and high output coil. They ship fast as well. Search "skip white" here in the forums.

I’m in the same boat. Driving down the road the other day and boom. Nothing. I would have tested fuel pressure and tested the coil before replacing all that stuff unless you were planning to anyway. I won’t get into my predicament here, but my initial problem was a burned cheapie ignition control module that the PO put in there. Take it out and take it to Autozone and have it tested. Like someone mentioned above, check for fuel (injector spray when cranking) and spark (get a spark plug that you have laying around, ground it, and make sure you have spark and that it’s snappy and white).
