I have those on my other motor.

When my engine was shipped to me the freight company ruined one cover. I submitted before and after pics proving they did the damage but they pretty much said "tough ****." Yellow Freight. I was pissed because these aren't cheap to buy. As luck would have it, at the same time over at FSC a guy was messing around with his pcv/breather hoses and managed to literally blow one of his valve covers off. He had different style covers that he put on instead of these so I was able to get the remaining cover for twenty bucks.



btw, does anybody know if these will clear 1.6 full rollers?

not a fan of painted ones, esp. for the price, but they are nice regardless. Would love a set in chrome or polished, then paint em myself later if I wanted em painted.

Like the bowtie filler cap, had the same one for mine until I realized it needed a screw in and not push in, I was sad. I had it and the matching breather cap.

Ya these were about $140 from summit. They are cast aluminum, I love them. I am not a huge fan of chrome and I kinda wanted to do something different other than chrome covers.

Thanks!! about a week ago this was not the case... hahaha a few months of leaky valve covers and a leaky intake manifold left my top end very grimy and nasty. So when I replaced the gaskets I painted the intake manifold, however I wish I had more time because its aluminum. I should have went and had it sand blasted... but I was short on time.

$140 is not bad for those! Huge improvement and definitely a good alternative to the chrome I may do that myself that looks so good!

Not to mention they are great covers, they're GM licensed.. I remember trying to stuff the valve cover gaskets into my stock ones and they kept popping out!! it was horrible!! The gaskets fit perfectly in these.. I think the ones with perimeter bolts are a little different but have the same finish and I believe they are the same price.. The only thing that was different about these was the hole placement. but nothing a little 7/16 hose wouldn't fix! And that cap was only like $6 from summit.. I would have spent more but wasn't sure it was the right size.. but it ended up working out just fine!
