Thought I would post up some pics of my current toy. The wife and I had a baby boy so I decided to sell the square body I had to buy a ex cab with some of the creature comforts. It's a 1994 silverado k1500 has power windows, power locks, heat a/c, tilt, cruise, and a softer riding suspension. Loved the square body but this thing is much nicer to ride around in. Don't have to deal with the carburetor since this one has the throttle body injection. Had a few issues when I bought it but got everything lined out running great with no issues. Body is in great shape with no rust, just has a little bit of faded clear on the hood and top of cab.

I picked it up for $2,200, and since then I put on a set of aftermarket headlight, led fog lights, new windshield, and put on a set of BFG mud terrain tires. Bought the set of 5 tires used from some guy that had too much money. He bought a new vehicle and took them right off had less than 500 miles on them and sold me all 5 for $500.

It has a newer front clip on it. I dont think they went to the more rounded grill till 97'.

But looks nice.

Also swapped out the dumbo mirrors for a set of sport mirrors. Put on a set of flow master mufflers. Also put on a 3 inch suspension lift with all new front end parts. Don't have too many plans for this one just wanted something I could get around in and have a little more room.

They started offering that style grill in late 94

Yep, that's a 94 up grill and that finished off the GMT400's in 98. Good Score for $2200.

Thank you sir. Yeah I'm pretty happy with it. I wasn't planing on selling my black square body but a guy at my work offered me too much for it so i took it. I have less in this than I sold my truck for. Came out pretty far ahead so I can't complain about that

Good score indeed! I like the wheels too. I was real close to putting those on my 05.

97 was the start of Vortec. That might be what the D was thinking.

Close, but 96 was first year for Vortec V8.

'97 was the first year for dual front airbags. Lots of little changes in these trucks.

Hellova steal at that price, sexy tires too.

Heard of sexy trucks and tractors, but never tires. Sounds like the making of a new country music song. Stay tuned for the music video to be coming out soon. :laughing1:

You and my friend Jay drive near identical trucks. Funny thing is my friend works in the same train yard as Mr. Clean.
