My factory 91' s10 + rear locker question

So as most know i have a 91' s10, 2wd with a 4.3L and a 700R4 (as far as i know). So its got an open rear and i want to chuck a locker in it (mostly for 2 wheel go in snow months). Im lookin at a powertrax lockrite ratcheting locker. Right now it will cook the F**K outta that one right rear mud tire! My question is will the locker handle my stock 4.3 with a 700R4 with unknown (factory) rear gears and 31x10.5x15 bfg mud terrains trying to do a 2 wheel peel??? I like to funk around and burn rubber a bit so i wanta make sure this wont be a bad idea. Thanks guys!

A drop-in type locker will still leave you with the stock carrier, which can be a weak link.

I never could break mine, despite lots of power shifting. You should be fine with the automatic.

Does it have a TV cable (extra linkage to tbi? below throttle cable)

If not, 4L60e, but if its original, it should be a 700r4.

700 can be built with a constant pressure Valve body that requires no TV cable, so there is no guarantee, but its unlikely you're dealing with that lol
