Just curious, I happen to notice that mine has “car style “ mirrors on it, small base.

Then I noticed others have the larger base like this one I posted earlier that on a van but look similar to ones on our trucks. Was there an option, or is there one more correct than the other? Mine doesn’t bother me, just curious. Thanks in advance.

The small (car style) mirrors were the stock standard mirrors. The larger mirrors were an option.
The van mirrors have a crook in the L post that the mirror head mounts on. Pickup/SUV ones, that post is straight 90° angle. You can see the crook in the van picture if you look closely.
Here's a couple pics of the truck style:

If you are having trouble seeing but like the look of that style, you can swap 67-72's on as they are larger but look almost the same.

These trucks came with at least 5 different types of mirrors stock that I know of. Power, sport, dumbo, and multiple 3 & 4 post towing variations. I have the sport on our C10 and the CC DRW has the tiny power mirrors. I like the power mirrors but you can't see anything so I am adding cameras.

That's my complaint about the sport mirrors as well, after getting used to the dumbo's

A little tough to see out of but yeah, they’re stock.
That’s my biggest problem, especially since they’re tarnished with age. And PO added a fish eye mirror onto the passenger side, which, if I use a “safety squint “ I can kind of use otherwise it’s pointless.

Yeah my buddy's '83 had the sport mirrors and they were basically useless for me. I love my dumbo's and have a convex at the bottom outside corner of each, it's a great combo

I changed my '81 from the dumbo mirrors to the sport mirrors. Yes, they are nearly useless, but they look cool so no regrets.

To echo what others have said yup factory base mirror which I have and despise. This is why I sourced a set of Dumbo mirrors used OE from a guy on Facespace Marketplace. He pretty local too you and breaks down trucks constantly. Name is Kenny Whitman member of NW C10s.
