I got all the new bolts in and torqued correctly

They were a pain in the ass to get in, but I deem to have done it without ruining anything.

This pic reminds my some old friends of mine who are just shade tree guys were going to rebuild a 327 they called me I don't live near them anymore,but Travis asked me anything special I should know. I said do you have number punches? No,why? Well you need to mark the side of each rod cap and rod so you keep your caps matched and don't flip them 180* same with your mains. He said can I just use an engraver? Sure just mark everything so that each cap stays with its rod etc. He says good I'm going to mark them with little boobs and little penises( Mike's helping me).

I'm getting ready to put the new clutch and pressure plate on, and I realized that the new pressure plate is slightly different when it comes to the fingers.

Is this something I should worry about? This truck originally had a 10 inch clutch, but I upgraded it to an 11 inch a while back.

Okay, this kit came with a different throw out bearing, so I think everything is okay.

So I got a battery and decided to test out the mini starter, and I noticed that there is a bit of runout with the flywheel.

Best get that fixed, that will cause problems in a number of areas.

What do you think it is? If it's the flywheel I'll get a new one, but if it's the crank flange being warped I'm just going to run it.

I've never heard of a flywheel itself warping before, you'd think that it would just crack (other than a flexplate).

Jack, do you have a dial indicator? I would pull the clutch etc. down to the flange, to see if there is some paint, or? check runout. You want NO runout. Check for burrs, use a fine file, or a knife sharpening stone and it should NOT hang up anywhere. Check the flywheel mating side for the same. It takes very little to make something runout, and with the runout you have, it should be very obvious. If the flywheel is the culprit, I could show you how to true it up on a lathe, done it a few times.
