29 degrees out side last night.
Just 3 young men out building a new 3 inch exhaust for the underside of this little truck.
He hated the glass packs with a passion, so he went and picked up his universal set of 3 inch pipes from storage.
Then it was time to start chopping and welding.
This is what they came up with.
3 inch to a band clamp will connect to the existing piping for now.
Then it can either be ran through the muffler or out of the dump.
Mufflers are Jones Flow Pack singe chambers that sound much better than the Flowmaster 10 series mufflers he tried first.
At my issistance they linked the pipes together to help stabilize it all.
20 year old Ford Tech Jake is doing the welding.
Boom!
High tech washer for connection dug straight out of the random hardware bucket.
Here they start on the passenger side pipe.
You can see the old set up in the back up against my truck, it will go back into the hoard until it is needed again.
They all have several cars each.
Max has the '49 truck, a '55 Bel Air, and my old '73 VW.
Jake has a '69 Fairlane and a '83 F-250 4x4.
Jacob has a '66 K10, a '73 AMC Hornet, a Jeep Wrangler dressed like a Jurassic Park Jeep, and a '91 Cherokee.
Hot rodding is still alive, it just needs to be encouraged.
You can also see that Max has tubbed the truck 4" and can now fit that 275/60/15 with all kinds of room to spare.
Next is to try out the 295's we have on a different set of wheels that have a different offset...
