Swapped from auto trans to manual trans in my 85. Found a manual trans, non-tilt, rebuilt it and put it in. Works great. I have been searching for a manual transmission, tilt column for years. They are a unicorn! Still looking. It's a want, not a need anymore. Thrill of the hunt.

Gotta pristine pre multi switch manual, tilt column(73-8?). Gonna use it in one of the Studebaker pus when the time comes.

Sorry for the late reply. Have had the truck for 25 plus year. Swapped in a 8.1/4l80e a few yrs ago. Current column is from a 90 suburban. Currently undergoing a refresh(interior and paint) hopefully for the last time.

if you have enough knowledge or experience you could make a car column work in a car. my 75 grand am column is floor shift th400 but it has bright stalk on column. could easily make that inop, but then the year 75 has the wiper on the dash, but im sure there are plenty of gm car combos if you need to source something to be creative.

Unicorn eh, I have a manual trans style tilt wheel column in my 86. Not willing to part out, that's my baby. Just saying.
