It can be removre, or fractions of it removre with any trans.

My LS swap is a 02 5.3
Had the computer done a couple years ago and been driving it daily since then

When you crank it , the engine revs up to about , I guess 1300-1500 for about one to two seconds then slowed back down to a normal idle

This is very annoying
Any easy way to correct it ?
Or is that a major software reflash ?

Was it tuned at that time? Or just VATs deleted so it would run?

And does it do it if you start the truck with the IAC unhooked?
