That truck over in Nampa is exactly the truck my son was just given. 75 3 speed 4x4. We've gotten a bit of a start on it, hopefully at elast the body stuff will be done by the end of this summer.

That’s awesome!
We wuz really looking for a little K10 and ended up with the Freedom Wagon 86K20.
Would have been more practical and probably drive it more, not being a big block 7mpg pig.
Have you shown pics of your truck here?

Who wants to go scout out that white C10 for me?
It’s in the ‘couv…. @Catbox @Bextreme04 ?
That one is speaking to me, lol!
Idk if it’s a WA or OR missing title. WA ain’t bad just gotta wait 3 years. Is Oregon process better for a legit missing title and no known past titled owner?

Like this one? I'm sure this running driving truck won't last long at $1500. I'd go look at it for myself if I had the space at home.

Yep, that’s cool that it’s a 4x4 too. I’d be leery of a MN pickup though. I wonder how rusty that thing would be underneath?

On closer inspection, it looks like it has Montana plates…..and it’s a Cheyenne Super! Probably would be worth looking at in that case.

Not yet. Will do so here in a few weeks, when it's back in the shop for a while and not sitting outside in the snow.

So that's a no then?
Maybe for 2-3 grand. Looks like a solid rig overall, but it is in no way original, and would need a decent amount of work to make it look presentable. That's not even "patina" that's just beat and old lol. 10 grand is nuts.

Last time I looked square bodies were going for stupid money here in PA. Hard to find one that doesn't have a ton of rust on the bed and cab corners.

That would be the epitome of a "Frankentruck."
I bought a transfer case from the seller of that truck, Joel, a few years ago. He's thinning his heard this year. I assume it's because prices are so crazy. He's already sold two similar trucks so far this year. All pieced together "Frankentrucks", but solid and needing paint. He told me in an email that 13 was too many, so some had to go.

Maybe it will get better in a year.
Don't count on it, but maybe... The guys who loved these trucks growing up are coming into retirement age. I don't think the market for them is shrinking by any means.

I agree that 10 grand is nuts, but it's certainly worth more then 2-3 being as solid as it is. The two trucks he's sold this year have both started at 10K. I saw one dropped to $7500 before the ad disappeared. I'd bet he's selling them for 7 grand, surely no lower than 5.

I don't know the guy, I just troll MN Craigslist a lot and try to keep tabs on these things. There's another Squarebody guy with a ton of parts and trucks in Princeton, MN, but I don't even bother communicating with him based on his absurd asking prices.
