That’s wild how some call for it and others don’t

That question is definitely above my pay gradeI notice that the flash point of power steering fluid is higher than atf. Which makes me wonder why a version of power steering fluid (hydraulic oil) isn't used in transmissions, from a flash point perspective?
Unfortunately for me, this is the level of questions my head rolls around in.That question is definitely above my pay grade
My head does something similar, I can relate. Then I come home and see the family and forget all about those thoughts………..until I lay down to try and sleep. Then I’m screwed lolUnfortunately for me, this is the level of questions my head rolls around in.
Kinda like when the dog is rolling all over something stinky in a bog.
Yep, same thing over here on the other side of the mountains. Back to the 80's next weekI'm sure it's hotter elsewhere but 106° is Hot for around here!! Gota love August
Swapping my pump to a new pump (hydroboost unit) fixed my steering dilemma’s. I also installed a cooler I had from a GM800 that was laying around. It’s the little things that countI'm having a similar situation. New redhead gear and the pump can't keep up when it gets hot. I just so happen to have a hydroboost pump sitting in my shop from a 97 454... so I think that will be the next step. I'll just pull it down and swap the pumps over between the two bodies.
