So, got a new to me '91 V2500. Originally a State vehicle from Alabama. Passed through a couple hands and then to me.
Mostly played with blazers in the past, and I've run into something I haven't before. Just had it repainted and since then the brake lights don't work. Parking, hazards and blinkers work fine. First thought was a fuse or the brake light switch. Replaced both. Still nothing on the brake lights. What else might I look for? BTW, has led tail lights.

Welcome from a fellow Sub owner in Houston!

Not sure on LEDs, but my 1st thought would be grounds. However, another thought is if the brake light switch under the column is bad or unplugged.

Just spitballing -more intelligent responses to follow. :waytogo:

I replaced the brake light switch. I'm thinking ground somewhere too. But with it being just the brake not working, I'm puzzled, lol. Otherwise, kids love it, much rather get picked up from school in the Suburban than in our Tundra.

Welcome.
Can you put the original style incandescent 2057s back in?
LEDS can be a problem unto themselves in older vehicles.

Welcome from NE Ga. When you installed the LED tail lights, did you wire in a 50ohm resistor? Mine wouldn't work correctly in my '85 until I did that
