The quality of this stuff has always been up and down, doesn't matter if it's sheetmetal or rubber or anything in between.
Sometimes very acceptable quality shows up... sometimes not.

Body parts are made all over the map, really. Mexico to China to Malaysia to India and many other places. A parts distribution center in China might very well be buying parts from anywhere but China. Best is keep fingers crossed when ordering. Just because buddy got good stuff doesn't mean you will... and the opposite is just as valid.
About right. I'd say 90% of the LMC stuff I've purchased for the square is good, while 100% of what I've purchased from Brothers for the square has been junk... Which is odd, because 10 years ago or so when I was buying stuff for my '69 C20 from Brothers, it was good quality for the most part.

LMC does have a good return policy, and I don't think they care how long ago you bought it. So, I kept a box of stuff from LMC over the past year that either was junk or I didn't care for, and then I sent one box of stuff back for a refund.

I've reluctantly bought many parts from LMC. The VAST majority of it is cheap Chinese Crap! A few items have actually been very good. but now that I think about it, all the good items are made in uSA. All the **** items were made in good ol Chinavirus. For example, the rear sliding window I recently bought was pretty nice-maybe because it's actually a C.R. Laurence brand made in the other communist state we call California.

Whats crazy is.....all my mounts look like that. Even the motor mounts' rubber is perfect. But they're 35yrs old.....so cant see not changing them while its all apart.

Lmc is hit and miss, some types of parts are really well made, and certain parts aren't. I'd say I've been happy with 75% of the stuff I've ordered from them, I've spent thousands of dollars. Some types of things from them like grille trim and some of the aftermarket stuff, or major mechanical stuff I would stay away from. But in every category they all differ, but it is hit and miss on some items. They're lighting stuff is pretty good! Like headlight conversions and led tail lights and marker lights. The lighting category is pretty decent stuff.

I'll second the lights as I've bought 4 new headlights and all the hardware and 2 new front side markers and they all fit and worked just fine.

I'm going to try them....anything thats crap will go back. Hoping to find good door seals, etc. The interior I'll probably go to USA1...pricey, but their stuff just looks nicer (in the pics).

Everything I've heard about lmc's weather stripping and door seals have been great. I just did my suburban tail gate seal and I'm pretty happy with it overall.

The only thing I didn't like was the headlight harness, it plugged and played and has been working fine just seemed a little too Chinese, at least the relays.

Yes 100% the conversion headlights are great, and I love my led tail lights and sidemarker lights, dome lights and even the license plate lamp impressed the hell out of me.

I'd just stay away from wiring harnesses and some aftermarket type stuff and most mechanical stuff.

Good thing you had pictures, my mind was elsewhere!!
i have a front mount frame side, so the rubber piece that sits on the ear for the frame. it was cut off a frame and thrown in a pile. for some reason
But damn, mine REALLY needs rubber mounts. Maybe find the correct height, find how much "squish" the current rubber does, and make a Urethane disc to shore up the free movement in the mount and take out "slack"

I have mixed experiences with all places I ordered. LMC, Brothers, Classic parts, Usa 1 industries, Summit, jegs, etc. I think it's because the parts are made all around the world and the quality is always going up and down. Most of the time I was lucky sometimes not. The bad thing is returning stuff from Europe doesn't make sense because of the shipping costs and import taxes that have been paid. I only had one negative experience with a customer care agent from Brothers. He told me it's bad luck for me living in Europe so he doesn't care about the complaint I had and if I want replacement part I can order a new one on my expenses.

I tried an international order from LMC and found l was getting messed around, with what should have been a simple transaction, I cancelled the order and ended up going back to The Truck Shop in CA, I've found them to be good, though the postage isn't cheap, l do get my parts in about 7-10 days. Quality wise they have been OK.
