Lift questions

Does anybody have a truck that is running a 6" lift up front and a 4" lift out back. I am thinking of doing this so that I can run 35s but the most lift I can have in the rear is 4" (gooseneck trailer). If you have that set up or a set up of the front with more lift please post pictures. i wan to see how it will look before i buy stuff to do it. Also i know that some people run 35s on 4" lift but I have 35s with 6" lift right now and dont think i could go to 4" without trimming

My Buddy has 35s no lift the front rubs only during hard turn think a 4 inch would be fine

I would do blocks on the rear, have the springs made or run air bags if you plan on pitting some weight on her I'm still debateing on that part myself my old springs are wore and I want them to be able to handle my slide in camper and a boat got 4 inch blocks 3 inch body on 36s

Here's his 87 on 35s no lift

He'd rub in more than just tight turns if he was wheeling, like a wheel lifting as he goes over a log or one side of the nose drops coming down over a good hump, especially at an angle. On the street you can get by with it.


If you're not an aggressive wheeler, you might do just fine with 4in all the way around and 35's with a small block gas engine. Diesel and Big Block being heavier maybe not. :shrug:

He's took it out wheelin biggest problem is when turning no clearance issues when wheels are straight its just on the back of the fender that rubs but I think with the 4 inch you'd be fine

Just to put it out there, another factor that matters alot in tire and lift combos that people forget, is wheel offset. You can get by with more tire and less lift with OEM wheels or same offset as OEM with aftermarket wheels.

the rims is where my difficulty is. mine are offset more than stock and if i get new ones they will be too.
