I was thinking that too, but if I suggested that, I'd have been wrong. Glad you said it first.

My new roller frame came with an all spring 8" superlift. Considering keeping that instead of my 12". Anybody have pics of 8" set ups with like 38's or 38.5's? Or any 8" + shackle flip pics?

Oh Cool, so you did end with that powder coated roller? That kinda cracks me up. You paid for a roller about double what I'd pay for a truck in fair to good shape. But, you did get a good deal for a full restoration project. I think you noy only saved money in parts, but in labor and services too and probably 6 months to a year head start on your build.

I don't have any of those pics of those set ups. Tough call really. Maybe keep the kit that's harder to sell, or the one you'll take less of loss on. For the purpose of use, I'd go with the 8inch, but for the purpose of show, and I think that's what you're building and don't know it, I'd go for the 12inch. As nice as that thing is going to be, I just don't see it getting dirty, I really don't. I think you're building a mall crawler.

You are correct haha, it was a mall crawler even before the new roller frame. I just wanted the 1 tons and then my current frame powdercoated but then i came acorss the frame and everything was done for me so it was a no brainer. As you know, the body is already done and in excellent shape. It is definitely a show truck but i still want to have my fun on the road while i drive it around on the weekends. thats why i was still up in the air with the lift. I know the 39.5's rob alot of my power so i thought about bumping down to 38/38.5 and doing my big block. Or using the 8" and possibly a shackle flip of some sort...

Welcome to GMSB Mike.

That's a nice looking truck. Not sure I'd be taking that one off-road much.
