Is that 1in body, 4 in suspension?

Haha not sure at all, just what I was told when I purchased it. Looked good to me so I was interested regardless!

Welcome to GMSB Nate. So it looks like your nosebleed is in process of some major work? I see the crossmember on the ground and the hood is off it's hinges. What all are you doing to it? When's it gonna be ready to rock???

- Took 700r4 out put sm465 in.
- 1 tons front and back
- Twin turbo 383 stroker
- Replace some of my not so bright ideas on the suspension.

I built her 13 years ago in high school and she has been sitting for the last 10 years since I blew up the motor. I have gotten the itch to build her back up better and safer than before. Hope to have her running in next couple of months.

5 inch lift has to be combo.

I'm thinking 4 inch and they claim it as 5 or something, or they put in add a leafs or something.

so it is a 4inch suspension for sure... what does the lift on the body look like?

It may just be a 4 inch though

usually big blocks, round like bushings but it leads to ugly front bumper gaps and woul dneed custom brackets since yours appears to be in the stock location.

Somebody could have thrown in some add a leafs under lifted springs, or even zero rates or soemthing.

. . . . . We got rules around here, pics posted within 24 hours or you get banned. Doesn't matter how ugly, many of us have ugly trucks, but it's cool watching them transpire on here. . . . . .

Well since I don't want to break the rules and get stuffed in the cooler I guess I best toss a couple of pics up here.

I picked up this 87 v10 Suburban a couple of weeks ago to use as a hunting \ ranch truck. A couple hundred bucks for a running 4X4 seemed to be a good deal to me. It has a lift but I don't know how much. The tires are BFG M/T 33s running on the factory 15" wheels. The PO gutted the interior with the exception of the drivers seat. Everything is still there, just piled up in the back of the truck. I plan to coat the inside with bed liner, build a roof rack and some custom bumpers and we will see where we go from there. With only one small rust spot and good a straight body it seems to be almost too nice to live out its days under a mesquite tree.
