I went to NAPA for some parts and looked at their LED stock. The 1157 bulb said it needed to have a piece added to slow down the blinking as the LED's go to fast. They also have had people come in who have installed seal beams and they didn't work till they installed a voltage reducer. Any one out there that has any knowledge of this.

LED directionals need an electronic flasher unit.

They look like the one's I'm looking at. What wiring did you have to do. They look good.

I wanted quad lows and set up for all the LEDs to fire off when the brights are on.

I picked up this set from ebay.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/4pc-90W-DO...-H4652-4652-/183696401274?hash=item2ac528a37a

They are DOT and do have an upper cutoff to not blind other drivers and are extremely bright. I went with these after a review I saw on them and they also have Daytime running lights which I wired a relay to my Oil Pressure switch feeding my Electric choke. That way they are only on when the engine is running and the starter still gets full power without any lights dragging on it. I got fairly creative with a custom relay circuit for them but they'll be plug an play for a factory harness aside from needing to add the DRL circuit.

I currently have them set to run all 4 lows or all 4 highs that shut off the DRL's if the lights are kicked on. I'm debating on running the top pair to a separate switch so I can turn them off in heavy fog.
3x 5pin relays can control the whole mess from the factory headlight switch if you wire it up right.

I have never understood the obsession with DRLs, I cant stand them and have disconnected them on every car I owned with them.
I know, man. Way harder to get away from the cops at night.

I replaced the sealed beams in my '78 with round DOT LEDs I got from the 'bay'. I had to cut and peel back
a part of the light buckets in order to fit the back of the led in.
Otherwise, plug & play.

I actually had a guy the other day claiming that his running lights didn't work after another guy worked on his car.
I'm like "is your parking brake on?"

"Yeah, i think so. Why?" lol..

THe 97 z28 I had it was simply disconnected the a plug from the module.. it also disconnected auto headlights that I didnt care for either. My 96 S10 the drls shared the same fuse as fog lights and the truck didnt have fog lights so that was easy. The 2010 Corolla I had to cut a single wire coming from a plug behind the glove box to disconnect the DRLs and auto lights.

I just bought two 30 amp relays from Napa and some primary wire.

Do you have a schematic that you created or did you just cut and splice?

You’ll use the wires that are now supplying 12v+ to your headlight circuits as trigger wires for your relays. From the battery to relay and relay to headlamp, it’ll all be new. I purchased new headlamp sockets for my setup from Napa. The lights you choose may come with them.

I drew up a schematic for someone asking the relay question a few months ago that you may be able to find in a search.

Google also has plenty of schematics at your disposal. Relays are simple though. You have switch, power in, power out and ground.
