I replaced my dash lights a while back with LED replacements, but they aren't anywhere near bright enough. (I went with a red color). What kind of LED bulbs have you guys used that were bright enough?

Not red lol. Blue is kind of dim as well. Just go with the cool white and maybe paint the back of the little cluster cover with white.

I made the mistake of going with the blue. It looks nice. The light output is no better than the stock incandescent lamps. If you paint the back of the gauge pod with a silver paint it might help with the led colored lamps. Theres a post on here about doing it.

I used the 194 replacements offered by LMC.
My eyes see a difference in brightness depending on which way they are installed.

I bought a bunch of supposedly warm white LED lamps to replace all the bulbs in the panel of the MGB I'm trying to reassemble. Unfortunately I have not had a chance to try them out yet due to spring being my 7 day work weeks. I'm hoping to see how they do in the next week or 2 and if they seem good I'll let you know. The company had LEDs for almost any application - if they work well the panel bulbs in the Suburban might get swapped when they start to go out.

Thanks guys. I always liked the red lights in the Pontiacs.

I do too. But these clusters just won't do it, they aren't backlit like new cars. You can get white stick on gauge overlays which could help if wanting to stay red, then paint the back side of the cluster shield white still and it should brighten it up.
