Leaking Metal Fuel Line??

Lots O' options. If only a small section is bad just cut, flare, use a union to join a new piece in, check inline tube, or summit, jegs for full replacements.

It should not make a difference between single or dual tanks, it's soft lines to the selector valve.

I did the same...shipping to me is $31.00 for a $49.00 part.........

Summit does not have, AFAIK

Inline tube was same price shipped as LMC...
Stainless would be a bit more.

Not sure if 6' would do it......

Another option is getting a roll of Nicopp tubing, 3/8". I've never used it myself but it bends and flares easy.

Do note that the factory fuel line from tank (or selector valve) to fuel pump runs underneath the passenger side motor mount plate, if I'm remembering right there is a clamp under there as well that holds it to the crossmember.

Yup. you remember correctly...unfortunately.
So, how do I extract that bolt without removing the mount & plate???

Also, there is a spot where all 3 hardlines rub up against a header tube; NOT good.....
Sigh, gonna be busy........

If it was a hole in the feed line, you wouldn't be able to pump any gas... it would just be sucking air. It is most likely either the weep hole in the bottom of the pump or a leak in the return line. There are two rubber lines from the frame rail to the pump and two more from the metal line to the switching valve. I'd start there.
The supply line is the only active one in the system currently.
The vent line is not connected, and the return line is connected to the
fuel HP pump sump for the EFI I am installing.

Dunno why some whiz-bang engineer designed the routing of the metal lines under the motor mount plate.....they come way off the frame rail, but do not need to.... so far that they hit a header pipe... now I gotta replace 1 and re-bend (hopefully) the other 2... there is another hard line, probably the rear brake line, that hugs the frame much more closely.... I will need to duplicate that line with the fuel lines. But, it looks like the mount and plate need to be removed and the engine jacked up a tad. I hope I don't have to pull the header off.

The fuel line is out...no easy feat.
I did have to remove the motor mount frame plate and jack the motor
over to the driver's side a bit.
A couple of answers"
Yes, the line has a hole in it. Definitely the source of the leak.
No, 6' would not be long enough to replicate the factory line.
I will look to modify some of the bends to shorten the length needed.

Now, to decide how to proceed.
