Fired up instantly coming off his winter hibernation to begin his 47th mowing season! Mowed for 2 hours today until the wind picked up and blew my hat off!

Have had this old Simplicity for years. Original engine and deck. Most everything else is also original except for tires, belts, battery, blades, seat and such. Original heavy steel chrome hubcaps that I had restored and re-chromed about 10 years ago.

Enjoying this thread.

I don't have any grass yet but have been looking for a mini front loader and / or a Struck Magnatrac Mini Dozer to start getting some yard work done. Haven't found any in my state yet but there is one in SoCal but asking $3k with condition somewhat unknown.

Gibson tractors are cool. Have you ever heard of a little beaver? There a small garden tractor from 40+years ago made by Satoh. Wich is Mitsubishi or Isuzu? I think. Anyways some of them have a small loader on them. I know of 2 beaver tractors in my county, Also Know someone with a Satoh. The Satoh is more of a medium sized tractor.

We started a racing league for our local sports day a few years back and are slowly growing interest in it. My team has four members and three mowers. Two father and son groups (including me and my son). We are Bremsspur Racing which translates to Skid Mark Racing - the poop emojis are the hood ornaments - we're grown-arse adults ;) We help each other out even if they are the competition.

This is awesome! What is the typical drive setup for these to get the higher speed? Just different pulleys?
