I've picked up a 1986 k1500 High Seirra and it's in pretty close to original shape. That's rare for my area so I'm not sure if I want to lift it of leave it unaltered and put as big a tire as possible under it. I know 31s will fit no problem, but not sure after that.

Wondering if people could tell me what tire and wheel combos they have been able to run without rubbing or cutting? Pictures would be appreciated too, if you already have them around.

Thanks

32's have never rubbed and ive flexxed it pretty good befor. Ive heard 33's will clear, but wont allow much flex, cause then they start rubbing.

A lot of it depends on what wheels you are going to run. On a stock rally wheel that was 8" wide I ran a 32x11.50 without rubbing. And it was a "large" 32 inch tire. From manufacturer to manufacturer there can be a difference in tire size.

I don't have pics yet, but I test fit LT255/85R-16 tires on stock steelies on my K20 with old settled suspension. Turned lock to lock and it is close in the rear of the front fender but they will be fine. Those are like a 33.25" tall tire.

I ran 33/12.50r15's on my old '86 K10 on the stock rally wheels for a while and they would rub if you were turning and going through a dip or over a curb. Lol. Not too bad, but enough that I took them off.
