L59 Z code 5.3

Found a good deal on a L59 5.3 from a 2003 Suburban with 177K miles. Runs great and does not smoke. Since it is a flex fuel engine, are there any pit falls to look out for when doing a conversion in to my 77 K10?

I spoke to the guys at LSx4u this morning about the flex fuel L59 option. They said it not an issue.

Besides the fuel itself, have you looked at what's involved in the fuel system? There are a lot of great threads and how-to's on here detailing the process.

Went to pull the motor this morning, pulled right side valve cover and evidence of water. So needless to say I did not get the motor. Still looking.

glad you checked. Whats your budget just for the motor if you don't mind me asking? I got a 2006/~110k miles with everything with trans for $1,000 and a $250 pistol. The deals are out there, you just have to be patient and have the money ready.
