In MN it is illegal to even have a red or blue light mounted on the front of your vehicle even if it is inoperable, but I am guessing when this is off no one will be able to see it unless he is on private property.

It's the same law here. I also applies to Motorcycles. I had a friend who put blue neon lights under his bike and lit them up at night while parked. The man wrote him a fix it ticket to remove the lights. Private or public property makes no difference here, if the man sees it you going to get a ticket.

I'm not stupid enough to use it on the road, I am not worried about the man. It's just for show and to fill a childhood dream. At work, in my back yard, maybe at a car show some day. That's about it.

You can have almost any color here but blue, red or anything close to those colors. Buddy changed them to white and has no had a problem. He did this because an ******* came flying into the parking space where his bike was one night and totaled his bike.

Didn't think you would use them on the road but here even if they are off and the man sees them you going to get a ticket that requires you to show up on court day and prove you removed them. Hope it's different in your area.

I see a lot of street bikes and cars running around here with that **** on, neon around the frame and blue lights on their wiper washer nozzles on the hood, **** like that. **** I know is illegal but they do it anyway. I should have no problem staying under the radar with those idiots running around.

You mean if he sees the red lens, I got ya. I'll take it as it goes and see how conspicuous I can keep it. It's going in one way or the other. Even if I need to go farther behind the grille to hide it better. I'll put the red bug deflector back on and mount it right behind that if I have to LOL.

I am assuming you want to mount it behind the grill making the grill openings like little light bezels so that it looks “built in”. Am I mistaken? If that is how you do it, then no one should ever see it when it is off. And If they do they have to be really bored to hassle you about it.

That is exactly the plan

^^^How can you not love that? 4th Season convertible too. Shame it don't have the high pursuit mode and convertible T-Top. :shitsweak:

Talked to to this guy on the phone. He had some great stories to tell about the replica cars he sells these scanners for and about the "Hoff". Going ahead with this, he's getting the supplies tonight and is going to start picking away at it this weekend. Take about 4 weeks to build and ship. Being built in San Antonio, TX. :banana-mario:

40" Long Metal Housing
64 Red LEDs
Red Lens Material
Control Box
12 ft 3 amp fused connecting cable (asked for extra, std 8', in case I mount it up on the overhead console)

Yeah that's the guy in the video building it. Talked to him on the phone. Hoping to have it in my hands in a few weeks. He builds them part time on the weekends.
