I'm probably going to just go with the standard size same as made for the KITT car. Just a straight housing instead of angled. Keep it simple, phuckit. I was wrong about the 15" size for the original, it is bigger than that.

Unless you are putting a firebird front clip on your truck do full length. The Knight rider bar fills the entire area between the turn signals. Yours should do the same.

Each LED light section is boxed off to itself to a certain size. That is what really makes it unique and look the way it does. Don't you think it will look funny with 64 of them? The original is 8. I want the original look and action of the light. I mean if he can dig me up a video of a longer light and I like it then sure I will go for it. But if I can't see it before I buy it I aint gonna take a leap of faith and hope it turns out right. I'd be happy just to have the one in the YT vid here:

KITT's turn signals are inboard of the headlights, mine are not, they are under them. They are also hidden under those covers. Look at it this way, what if KITT's light bar was longer went from headlight to headlight would that look right to you? Not being the nay sayer here, just trying to cover all the bases, I really do appreciate the convo man.

Let me mess around with some pics....

This is why I said that bit about a TA front clip on your burb. You can't do this for what looks good on an 82 TA, if you are going to do this at all on a burb it needs to be what fits and makes sense on a 1990 Suburban. If they made KITT out of Silvy I bet the bar would go turn signal to turn signal. if you design it to look good on a TA instead of being an Homage that fits a suburban it will look like some cheesy JC whitney thing no matter how well engineered or how much money you spent on it. Just my 2 cents.

Is this not going to get the interest of local law enforcement? Around here that would be considered impersonating a law enforcement or emergency vehicle.

I assume it will never be on while he is one the highway. In MN it is illegal to even have a red or blue light mounted on the front of your vehicle even if it is inoperable, but I am guessing when this is off no one will be able to see it unless he is on private property.
